Mangalampalli Ravikanth was born in India in 1966. He received his B. Sc. And M.Sc. degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and PhD from IIT Kanpur, in 1994. After his postdoctoral studies in USA and Japan, he joined the faculty of chemistry at IIT-Bombay, where he is currently a full professor. He was Head of the department from 2021-2024. His current research includes porphyrin and related macrocycles. He has received many prestigious awards  in his career.

in the field of fluorescent boron dipyrromethene dyes. He likes to play cricket and musical instruments in free time.

Dr. Mohammad Salman

IPDF

Salman is a sincere postdoctoral fellow with an outstanding knowledge in organic synthesis. Currently, he is working on thiophene and pyrrole based porphynoids. His hobbies are running, watching web-series and reading novels

Dr. Shubham Tiwari

Shubham is from sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh currently working on  benzene incorporated expanded porphyrinoids. Outside of lab you can find him either playing chess or reading a book.

Vratta Grover

5th year Phd student

Vratta is a 4th year Phd, student who is from Sirsa, Haryana. She is interested in exploring core modiefied porphyrinoids especially norroles and expanded corroles. She is a foodie interested in traveling, and reading books.

Pooja Varak

4th year Phd student

Pooja is the only day scholar in our group. She is also hosted by the prestigious PMRF fellowship. She is interested in exploring the chemistry of carbaporphyrinoids. Outsided lab she is interested in gardening, cooking, and painting.

Neha is the night owl in our lab who works on the synthesis and studies of phenothiazine-embedded porphyrinoids. She loves listening to music, watching drama and travelling.

Pinky is from Mathura, who did her masters at IIT Guwahati. She is currently interested in designing and synthesising open-chain pyrrole-based ligands and their coordination complexes. Outside the lab, she is interested in travelling.
